Elective subjects are additional courses that students may opt to take that are not part of their required major or degree program. These courses allow students to pursue their interests, acquire new abilities, and improve their GPA. They also offer students the opportunity to have more variety and flexibility in their academic journey. It is crucial for an academic advisor or program coordinator to assist in selecting and enrolling students in elective subjects, and the policies and options for these courses may vary among different colleges and universities.

Adding Elective/Flexi-core Subjects

To add an elective subject, go to Modules > Student Information System > Class & Subjects

Click on "+ Add" and then select "Subject".

Select "Class" and "Section" give the subject a name, and enable it as "Elective" and Save.

Bulk Enrolling Students in Elective or Flexi-Core Subjects

To bulk enroll students into the elective subjects, go to Modules > Manage Students

Filter Class/Section, using the checkboxes select the student records, and from the bulk action menu select "Elective or Flexi-Core Subject Enrollment".

Then, search the elective/flexi-core subject that needs to be enrolled for the students.

Student Self Enrollment to Elective Subjects

Admin will need to enable "Self Registration" from Org Settings.

Then, the student will be able to self enroll into the elective subjects.

Here's a documentation on the self enrollment feature:
