Student enrollment status is the level of participation and access that a student has in a course or educational institution. It can change based on the type, duration, and mode of the course or program, and also on the policies and regulations of the institution.
Classe365 uses enrollment status for informative purpose, and to categorize students by the status the students are enrolled in.
Some common student enrollment status categories that are offered by Classe365:
Not Set - this is the default status that the student is assigned when you enroll a student in the class/section or a subject.
In Progress - this status is best used when the students are enrolled in the active academic session.
Incomplete - this status can be used when the student isn't eligible to complete the class/section or subject in a session.
Withdrawn - this status can involve students who are dropped out from the class/section or course during the education progress.
Complete - this status would be used when the student has successfully completed their class/section or a subject.
Classe365 Offers two levels of "Enrollment Status" as follows:
Class/Section Enrollment Status or simply "Enrollment Status" - used to define at which status the student is enrolled in a class/section.
Subject Enrollment Status - used to identify at which status the student is enrolled in a subject within a Class/Section.
When to update student's enrollment status?
You can update the enrollment status when the student's participation and access changes within the subject. Example, when the student completes the subject and goes inactive, before moving the student to alumni module, you can update the status as "Completed".
How to update student's enrollment status?
To update student's enrollment status, go to Modules > Student Information System
Filter Class/Section > Select student records > Update Enrollment Status
While updating the enrollment status, you can also update the enrollment status for all the subjects under selected Class/Section in bulk by enabling the following option.
How to update subject enrollment status in bulk?
To update enrollment status of a subject in bulk, in the student's table, filter for class/section and subject, and then use the "Update Subjects Enrollment Status" option.
Will student license still be considered after updating the enrollment status for active student as "Withdrawn"?
Updating a student's enrollment status does not detach their record from the Student Information System. You will still have access to their profile and can make any necessary changes, even if they have withdrawn or have a different status. The student's licence for the Core Module will remain until they are moved to the alumni module. Alumni module is an add-on module used to preserve info and manage inactive student records.
I accidentally enrolled a student in a wrong class/section or academic session.
If you've enrolled a student in the wrong class/section, and you do not have valuable information such as "Attendance", "Quiz Scores" and "Gradebook" info recorded in the class/section you have enrolled the student accidentally, then you can cancel the enrollment by visiting the student profile, from "Enrollment Tab".
NOTE: cancelling enrollment is a manual process, there's no bulk action for this.
