Classe365 enhances password security and allows super-admins to customize dashboards for users like Admins, Students, Teachers, and Parents.

Let's explore the options in detail.

Login to Classe365 as a super-admin, and go to “Organization Settings > User Portal & Security”.

Admin Portal

The Admin Portal tab allows you to manage password security. You can require admins to change their password upon initial login and set the frequency of required password changes.

Upon activation, administrators will receive a prompt to change the password.

Teachers Portal

The teacher's portal allows you to manage login security, customize the dashboard, access student attachments, and use the institute email as the sender address for student communications.

Customizing the Dashboard

Password Settings

Password settings allow administrators to configure teachers' ability to change their initial password and reset passwords after a set period.

Teacher Portal: Access to Student Attachments

The teacher user can have access to their student's attachments with 'read', 'write' and 'delete' permission configured by the admin.

Here's a breakdown on each permission:

  • Read: permission allows teachers to access the attachments in view only mode.

  • Write: permission will let the teacher's change the title and description of an existing attachment (while they can't change the already uploaded attachment), and will also let the teacher add new attachments.

  • Delete: permission allows teacher's to delete the attachments for students.

Note: The teacher portal will have the attachment links within the “Student Module.” However, without the “Read” permission by the admin, teachers are unable to access the attachments for their students.

Students Portal

The student's portal allows you to control the student's login password security, and their dashboard elements.

Customizing Student's Dashboard

Password Settings

The password settings allow the administrator to configure the student's ability to change their password upon initial login, as well as reset their password after a designated period of time.

Student Portal - Access to Student Attachments

When the admin enables the “RWD” permission for the student portal in the “User Portal & Security” settings for student attachments, the student will be able to access their attachments in their portal.

Here's a breakdown on each permission:

  • Read: permission allows students to view the attachments.

  • Write: permission allows students to change the title and description of the existing attachments (don't allow students to modify the existing ones). And it will also allow students to add new attachments.

  • Delete: permission allows students to delete existing attachments.

Note: The Modules Menu will display the links to access the attachments section, however the “Attachments” will be displayed for students when the admin has enabled at least the “Read” permission to the attachments.

Parents Portal

The parent's portal allows you to control the parent's login password security, and their dashboard elements.

Customizing Parents Dashboard

Password Settings

The password settings allow the administrator to configure the parent's ability to change their password upon initial login, as well as reset their password after a designated period of time.

Parent Portal - Access to Student Attachments

The parent user can have access to their child's attachments with 'read', 'write' and 'delete' permission configured by the admin.

Here's a breakdown on each permission:

  • Read: permission allows parents to view the attachments for their children.

  • Write: permission allows parents to change the title and description of the existing attachments (don't allow students to modify the existing ones). And it will also allow parents to add new attachments.

  • Delete: permission allows parents to delete existing attachments.

Note: The parent portal will display the links to access the “Attachments” in the “Modules Menu”, but without at least “Read” permission, the parent will not be able to access the attachments.

Manual Student Attachments Permission

While uploading the attachment to the student profile, the admin can also configure either to follow the default settings, or individual file permission.
